Learn-to-Row Program - Summer 2024
Summer Learn-to-Row and Fall Novice Program Info Session
Date: June 11th at 7:30pm
Zoom: Join via Zoom
BLS Crew is pleased to offer a Learn-to-Row program this summer. No experience is necessary, and all current and incoming BLS students are welcome. (Non-BLS students who are interested in the program should email registrar@blscrew.org for availability; priority will be given to BLS students.) Learn-to-Row is a great way to try out rowing and start to experience BLS Crew's combination of fun, teamwork, community and competition!
Note: If you are planning to join BLS Crew as a Novice for Fall 2024 and have not rowed previously, participation in at least one week and preferably two weeks of a summer Learn-to-Row program is required. (While participation in BLS Crew's Learn-to-Row program is preferred, new Novice rowers can also join BLS Crew this Fall if they have attended an equivalent Learn-to-Row program elsewhere, such as Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI), www.communityrowing.org.)
Alternatively, the Winter/Spring 2025 Novice program will start in mid-January 2025, and Novices who begin then do not need to participate in a separate Learn-to-Row program. Other than the Learn-to-Row for the Fall season, no rowing or other athletic experience is required to join BLS Crew, as all new rowers and coxswains learn the sport together. All grade levels are welcome.
