BLS CREW

As one of only 19 public schools in Massachusetts to offer a three-season rowing program, BLS Crew provides an inclusive opportunity for students to race competitively in state, regional, and national regattas. No experience is required and assistance is available for students with financial need.

 

BLS Crew prioritizes both academic and athletic success. Later practice times encourage students to attend faculty office hours, complete homework assignments, and participate in extracurricular programs without compromising the rigor of their athletic training. BLS Crew graduates regularly go on to row and study at highly ranked colleges and universities.  

 

The BLS Crew team is supported through fees paid by rower families, fundraising events, and generous donors. BLS Crew has a staff of professional coaches and is operated by Friends of BLS Crew, Inc., a non-profit organization run by parent volunteers.
