Transportation to the Boathouse

During regular school days, a bus will pick up rowers in front of BLS at 4:15pm. On weekends, holidays, or during vacation weeks, rowers must find their own rides to practice.  

Transportation from the Boathouse

Practice ends at 7:30pm. Rowers will wait in the Artesani Playground parking lot for pick-up. Families are encouraged to carpool, and a carpool map will be sent out with interested rowers’ contact information at the start of each season.

What to Bring to Practice

Outdoor Practice

• ​Running shoes and/or old sneakers and/or rain boots for around boathouse (when it rains the boathouse gets muddy)

• Socks - recommended to bring a warm pair (wool) and a cheap pair that you don't mind throwing away

• WATER BOTTLE - filled

• Spandex or tight-fitting stretch pants or shorts

• Long or short sleeve spandex/athletic top (layers for cold days - no cotton!)

• Rain gear (we practice in the rain)

• Hat (warm or sun, depending on conditions) and sunglasses (when the weather gets nicer)

• Inhaler if necessary

• Dry/clean clothes for after practice

• Snack for before/after practice
